Structural design:
seven specialities, the same rigour.

Structural engineering in Salamanca for projects across Spain. We design steel, concrete and timber structures for architecture practices, engineering firms, contractors, developers and steel fabricators: from the foundations to the last connection.

Every structure is calculated and justified to whatever codes it requires (CTE, Structural Code, Eurocodes, etc.) and delivered with its calculation report and, if you need them, the drawings and 3D model.

  1. 01 Design Structural options and preliminary sizing
  2. 02 Calculation Structural analysis and code checks
  3. 03 Modelling 3D model of the structure
  4. 04 Drafting Design, erection and shop drawings
  5. 05 Documentation Calculation report and appendices for permits
  6. 06 Site support Technical support during construction

01

Building structures

From foundations to roof, with no surprises.

Structural design of houses, residential buildings, offices and public facilities in reinforced concrete, steel, timber or composite.

  • Option studies and preliminary sizing
  • Slabs, beams, columns, walls and stairs
  • Calculation report and, on request, design drawings
  • Technical support during construction

3D model of an isolated pyramidal footing with its reinforcement

03

Foundations & retaining structures

What you cannot see is what holds everything up.

Design of foundations and retaining walls: pad footings, rafts, piles, pile caps and basement walls, based on the geotechnical report.

  • Critical review of the geotechnical report
  • Footings, rafts, piles and pile caps
  • Basement, retaining and diaphragm walls
  • Reinforcement schedules (on request)

04

Structural surveys & strengthening

A clear diagnosis before touching anything.

Expert reports, assessment of existing structures and structural strengthening or refurbishment designs.

  • On-site inspection and data collection
  • Expert report or technical opinion
  • Load-bearing capacity assessment of existing structures
  • Structural strengthening or refurbishment design

3D model of a bolted beam-to-column connection with an end plate

05

Steel connections

Where a steel structure either works or does not.

Design of bolted and welded connections, base plates and truss nodes and, on request, shop drawings for fabrication.

  • Bolted and welded connections
  • Base plates and anchor bolts
  • Splices, bearings and truss nodes
  • Shop drawings and construction details (on request)

Finite element analysis of a steel beam-to-column connection

06

Finite element analysis (FEA)

When the usual formulas fall short.

Finite element analysis of members, connections and structures: non-linear, buckling, plate buckling, dynamic and vibration analysis.

  • Finite element models of members and connections
  • Non-linear, buckling and plate buckling analysis
  • Dynamic and vibration analysis
  • Review of third-party designs and calculations

07

Special structures

Projects where the structure takes centre stage.

Footbridges, arches, special roofs, canopies and free-standing stairs: advanced structural design for complex geometries.

  • Form finding and structural options
  • Advanced analysis and stability
  • Vibrations and user comfort
  • Special details and erection stages
